Partners with Jeffrey Hutchison & Associates to design space

FREMONT, Calif., Dec. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — After launching JosephAbboud.com in early November of this year, Men’s Wearhouse is happy to announce that it will open a Joseph Abboud flagship store at 424 Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan for Spring 2015, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to the Joseph Abboud brand.

“Customers appreciate the quality, style and value of Joseph Abboud menswear,” said Doug Ewert, Men’s Wearhouse CEO. “When we launched JosephAbboud.com with an exclusive collection only available online, we knew it would only be a matter of time before we introduced that merchandise in store.  Bringing together the design talent of Joseph Abboud and the quality craftsmanship from our tailored clothing facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the Joseph Abboud retail store will showcase the full collection of the product in an engaging and accessible environment.  It is the next evolution of the brand, furthering our commitment to wardrobe men in the finest quality designer menswear in America.”

“I am very excited about the launch of Joseph Abboud retail,” said Joseph Abboud, Chief Creative Director of Men’s Wearhouse. “The store will be a great laboratory for new retail concepts, enhancing the visibility of the brand that I launched in 1987 and bringing compelling design and product to the consumer, especially with our custom tailored clothing, made right here in America.”

Men’s Wearhouse and Joseph Abboud sought out acclaimed architect Jeffrey Hutchison, President of Jeffrey Hutchison & Associates, to create the first free standing Joseph Abboud store and design an environment that’s true to the brand.  The design aesthetic will provide a modern American take on London’s Savile Row.  Joseph Abboud’s sophisticated brand will be represented through exquisite fabrics and the highest craftsmanship.
